Last week was weird. Having a day off in the middle of a week is always weird. But that was last week. This week is normal. Thankfully.
The MRI on Thursday was novel. Being shoved into a plastic tube for 20 minutes while magnets banged out the Anvil Chorus around my head might have been disconcerting without the steady flow of air through the tube and the open space above my head (if, for example, the MRI unit had been shoved against the wall instead of in the middle). The headphones helped as well. The doctor wants to see me on Thursday. Further reports will be made as things develop.
I keep forgetting to talk to the bank about a car loan. My sister is trying to sell her car, and I am getting towards needing a new one (My Camry has 136K on it). Life keeps interfering. Tomorrow. I will speak with them tomorrow.
I spent the weekend doing nothing of consequence. The rest of Misrule spent their weekend in Austin, which I was all for, except that I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much with my back in the shape it is. I think the general lack of activity helped, since I felt better today. Hard to say if this is an improvement in the general level of injury, or if I'm just fooling myself. I think that goes hand in hand with what the doctor will tell me on Thursday. I suspect it will be something along the lines of: "Lose weight and exercise more."
