With that particular day approaching fast, I look at my stack of presents and realize ... damn, I'm short by at least three. Which I have no ideas for, save my little cousin, who I am determined must have a Rescue Heroes Captain America (provided I can find one). As for my other baby cousin, who is 2, I figure I'll default to a stuffed animal, if I find an appropriate one. I'd get her a plushie-Cthulhu, but I doubt that she or her parents would appreciate it. I need something for my stepbrother, but I have no idea what he wants. And, I have to do it soon. Which means I must face the last-minute shopping crowds. Gah.

Work continues apace. I had the interview on Monday. I think it went pretty well. Of course, it won't be until January before they tell me if I'm permanent. The good news being that I'm employed over Christmas. The bad news being that I have to wait about 3 weeks to hear anything.

Tomorrow is my mother's 60th birthday. Brief moment of mortality there, following fast on the heels of my 33rd back in November. A friend said, "Hey, Eb, that's the age that Jesus was when he was crucified." Gee, thanks.

Tomorrow's also D&D. Kerchak will be late on the scene (even a curmudgeonly halfling mountain man like Kerchak loves his mother), but it should be fun. Provided that we don't have problems with Richard getting frustrated. I like Richard; he's my friend. But, he just gets annoyed at things and takes them out on Eric, the Gamemaster. I wish that I could get there on time (which is still early since the game doesn't start until 7p) and talk to him about it, but I can only hope that the someone brings it up beforehand. Otherwise, it'll have to wait until next session (unless it breaks out during the game ... knock wood).

More later.
