I want to see it on the big screen first. I've heard that the only spoken line in the trailer is Rorschach's "..and I will Whisper 'No'" line, which made my eyes water.
The irony of it is, according to the person who pointed me at it, is that the Smashing Pumpkins song being used is the last track on the "Batman and Robin" soundtrack.
I'm thrilled and worried. Initially I was like fuck yeah, but then I remembered the interviews of Alan Moore that I had read that said he was not in favor of a Watchmen movie. And some of the beauty of Watchmen was all the intricate detail in the art, which would be hard to capture in a movie where time is always moving forward at 30 frames a second.

Date: 2008-07-18 08:52 pm (UTC)You get one split-second of Night Owl screaming, there's a brief smattering of text, and Billy Corgan singing in a couple of spots.
"The world will look up and shout 'Save Us!' And I will whisper 'No.'"
And that's it. Beyond the visual awesome, that is :D
